category permalink only work for one language

galerieS	Background of the issue: I want to be able to display articles from specific categories in both languages (original and translated). The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link. I expect to see a working page like this: hidden link. Symptoms: I got a 404 error. If I go to Settings > permalinks and save the page when the language is set to French, then only French categories are working. If I do it in English, only English categories are working. Questions: Why does the permalink only work for one language at a time? How can I ensure that categories display correctly in both languages?
