I am trying to: Use WP comments on my website, but if I add a new comment in a given language (e.g. Italian), I can find it in the backend only if I choose "All languages", but not under Italian. Also, I cannot display the comment in the frontend, the comment section always displays "No comments" even after I approved a comment and installed the "Multilingual Comments WPML" plugin.

I expected to see: The approved comment on the frontend, as well as a list of the comments under the corresponding language in the backend.
Instead, I got: No comments in the frontend and in the backend I can see the comments only if I choose "All languages".
Thank you for your reply.
I do not want to translate comments, I would be OK if comments in both languages would appear in each language (using the plugin mentioned, given that the ones mentioned in other tickets have not been updated in years).
My issue is that actually comments are not displayed at all. In the backend they do not show up for the language they have been posted in (only if I select "All languages" I see the comments), and in addition, I am unable to display comments on the front-end, even if they are approved they do not appear on the post they have been added to.
Can you please further advise how to solve my issue?
Before proceeding further, may I ask you to try the following?
IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.
- Deactivate all plugins except WPML and its addons and check for the issue.
- Activate each plugin one-by-one, while keeping check on the issue after a plugin is activated. This way you'll be able to pinpoint a plugin having a conflict (or problem), if any.
- If the problem persists, repeat the above steps with a default theme of WordPress (i.e. 2021 or 2024).
Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.
