This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported that after completing a translation, the translated page was not appearing in the WordPress admin list view. They also inquired about a potential WPML cache that could be cleared.
Solution:
We checked the settings and memory and found them to be correct. We noticed that some WPML UI elements, such as the "+" or "pencil" icons, were getting blocked when the "Languages" option was activated on the WordPress screen options. This issue could be due to the theme or a conflict with a third-party element. We asked the client if they could still reproduce the issue, for example, on a new test page or post.

If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend checking for any conflicts with your theme or third-party plugins that might be blocking WPML UI elements. You can do this by temporarily switching to a default theme and deactivating other plugins to see if the problem persists.

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket.

After completing a translated page it's not showing up in the translated admin pages list view within wordpress. Is there a WPML cache that can be cleared?

Hi,

yes, but let's check first if this is needed. Your description sounds more like a DB issue. Which status icon do you currently see in the Backend for the affected pages?

Best Regards
Marcel

Within wp-admin pages list within my default language. The effected page has the + icon, as if the translation completion did not happen.

Hi,

thanks for the info. You should be able to fix the issue with our Troubleshooting options as mentioned here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-troubleshooting-options/.

#1 Please create a full backup of your site
#2 Start the following actions:

- Clear the Cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Set language information
- Fix Terms count
- Fix post assignment for translations

Please let me know if the translation is saved afterwards.

Best Regards
Marcel

This is very helpful. Unfortunately this did not resolve my issue. I'm also seeing that the pages Translation Status is stuck in 'Updating'. The translated page has has not made it to the pages list.

Is there a preferred process for deleting a translated page? I might add, this was a page I previously translated, deleted, and then tried to translate again.

Hi,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Thank you for looking into this. I see a successful translation for the page in question. Let me know if there is a process I should follow or how you were able to clear and resolve this translation issue. Thanks again.

When I repeated the same process as before, delete translation, empty trash, re-translate, the Translation status appears to get stuck at 'Updating' again within WPML > Translations.

The translation did appear to complete and is available within the translated pages admin view. That is good news. Any insight is much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

thanks for the credentials. I tried them, but /wp-admin redirects me to /surgeon-resource-center/ where the credentials show "There was an issue with your email or password".

Could you please check this? Thanks!

Best Regards
Marcel

Hi,

thanks for the access. The settings, memory etc. looks ok. The only thing I can see is that some WPML UI elements get blocked, such as the "+" or "pencil" icon when activating "Languages" on WP screen options. This probably was defined in the theme or is a conflict with a 3rd party element.

Can you still reproduce the issue somewhere, such as on a new test page/post etc.?

Best Regards
Marcel
