This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The client is unable to find the translation for the Cookie Settings information on the Welsh page, even after translating all strings.

Solution:

1. We recommend enabling the option "Look for strings while pages are rendered" by going to WPML -> String Translation. At the bottom of the page, check this option, then visit the front-end page where the missing string should appear. After that, return to WPML -> String Translation to search for the string.

2. If the string is still not found, it might be an admin text. Follow the steps in our documentation to find and translate admin text strings: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

3. For more information on translating CookieYes, refer to our guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wpml-to-translate-cookie-law-info/

4. Additionally, the client was able to resolve the issue by:
1 - Translate the content in the Cookie List
2 - Translate the content in the Cookie Category
3 - Clear the Dynamic Cache and Memcached to ensure that changes take effect.

Hi there,

I've translated all the strings but the Cookie Settings information on the Welsh page is missing. I can't find any settings in WPML to enable or disable it. Please refer to the screenshots. Any idea? Thank you.

BR,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you.

1) Could you please try this:

Go to WPML -> String Translation and at the bottom of the page you will find a checkbox called "Look for strings while pages are rendered". You can enable (check) that and then go in the front end to a page where you have that string showing up and then go back to WPML -> String Translation and search for that string and see if it now shows up.

2) If you can't find them inside the WPML -> String Translation, they might be added as admin text.

This should be the normal process to find and translate admin text strings:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

* Please find more information related to translating the "CookieYes" here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wpml-to-translate-cookie-law-info/

Let me know if this works out for you,
Marsel

Hi Marsel,

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry that none of the above suggestions works. The blog post (https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wpml-to-translate-cookie-law-info/) is incomplete. To help other users, I suggest you update the blog by adding the following.

1. Translate the content in the Cookie List as shown in the screenshot
2. Translate the content in the Cookie Category as shown in the screenshot
3. Clear the Dynamic Cache and Memcached

Hope this helps. Thanks.

BR,
Tom
