I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)
**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **
I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.
NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.
When I review the custom fields I can see that they are not translated and instead are marked as "not translated"
To make sure that these fields are also set to "Not Translatable" I have gone to WPML->Settings->Post Types Translations->Custom fields (vehica_custom_field) and set it to "Not Translatable" as well as Configs (vehica_config).
This did not help, however, I ended up opening up the translation for the tempalte and setting a fallback.
I can verify that there is no active tanslation for the inventory template here: hidden link
Then reviewing the direct template in the front end looks like it's working OK.
I have gone to WPML->Settings->Post Types Translations->Custom fields (vehica_custom_field) and set it to "Not Translatable" as well as Configs (vehica_config), as before were set as translatable. The error is fixed (thank you for this), but the translations from WPML are not visible on live. Why? I have translated all posts/pages/products!
Also, in attached screenshots you can see that the categories on english version are not visible anymore...why? And the product description in english version (on any product) is in romanian, not english - hidden link
Everything worked properly before translating those custom fields. i just want to revert that. Setting configs to translatable/fallback did not fixed the problem
I fixed some issues but two remains - about us page translation is not visible on live, but is visible on staging and car type filter is not visible on auto parc translated page
When viewing hidden link there is a template pulled for the inventory page.
This template is the same one used accross all 3 languages since it canot be translated you are pulling it by using this feature " Translatable
use translation if available or fallback to default language"
The problem is that since the translation does not exist the filter will not work as expected.
Car type (vehica_6655) in WPML->Settings->Taxonomies Translation needs to be set to "Translatable
use translation if available or fallback to default language" as well.
However, do note that this might not be enough..the feature works well for pages and posts but it's not meant to work with Filters.
Hello,
I see that staging is looking as expected, but I cannot do the same with live version. Can you please check what I am missing? Same credentials.
