I am trying to translate the custom taxonomy Yoast SEO Fields but it is not working. When I try to translate any taxonomy, the fields don't appear there.

Even if I assign it to the post and translate it using WPML advance editor, the post's Yoast Fields appear but not the taxonomy term that I assigned.
It is showing like this instead of translating it from the English version.
I'm Osama from WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
1) First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload. Please check if you can translate the description using WPML-> String Translation.
2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?
You can read a detailed explanation about it here. (http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support)
The debug info will give me much information about how your site is configured.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Thanks for the access details. The meta description string can be translated via WPML-> String Translation. (hidden link)
Kindly check the following steps to know how to find the string:
1- Go to WPML-> String Translation
2- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
3- Search for the needed strings
4- Select the strings
5- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
6- Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link
7- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end
Thanks for your patience. I checked with our 2nd tier support team and compatibility team. I'm afraid that the metadata needs to be translated manually. It is a current WPML limitation.
Thanks for your reply. Please check my previous reply. The metadata needs to be translated manually. It is a current WPML limitation for translating Yoast metadata.
Best regards,
Osama
