Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to follow WPML's directions to delete a translation that was incorrect. I referred to the documentation at https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-delete-the-translation-of-a-page/ for guidance.

Symptoms:
After deleting a translation, I am unable to send the page for translation. I receive an error message: 'Sending for translation failed. There was a problem sending your content for translation. Please try again in a few minutes. If the issue persists, please contact our support.' The technical details show: 'strlen(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given'.

Questions:
Why am I unable to send the page for translation after deleting a translation?
What does the error 'strlen(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given' mean?
How can I resolve the issue of sending content for translation?
