This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to delete ACF repeater fields in the English version of your site, but after deletion, these fields still exist in other languages. Additionally, when trying to save translations in the WPML Translation Editor, the segments are not saving.
Solution:
First, ensure that all Repeater Fields and Groups are set to "Copy" in the ACF configuration. This setting helps synchronize the deletion across all languages. For more details on setting up field configurations, visit Recommended Custom Fields Translation Preferences for ACF and WPML.

Next, check your server's minimum requirements. WPML requires a WordPress memory limit of at least 128M, but your PHP Memory Limit is currently set to 128M, which might be insufficient. We recommend increasing the WordPress memory limit to at least 256 MB. Contact your hosting provider to adjust the PHP MEMORY LIMIT on the server to at least 256M or higher.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check for related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, we recommend opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. While you wait for one of my colleagues to assist you further, let me see if I can help you with this issue.

It's normal behavior for changes made to the primary language not to immediately reflect in the secondary language. To resolve this, save the changes to your primary language page and then retranslate the page. This will ensure the updates are copied to your secondary language pages. Could you please give this a try and let us know if it works?

No luck. I noticed this issue actually a week later when I had already made multiple revisions to the English content (saved the page many times) and retranslated the page.

Hello,

Do you maybe have set "ACF Field Groups" in WPML > Settings > Post Type Translation to "Translatable"?

If so, please set this option to "Not translatable".

Also, in case you translated the field groups, please delete the duplicated field groups inside ACF.

Best regards
Andreas

Do you mean "Post Types (acf-post-type)"? This row is already set to "Not translatable"

Hmm I don't have "ACF Field Group" row in my site settings (under WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation) but I have "Field Groups (acf-field-group)" which is set to "Not translatable"

You are saying:

"After deleting ACF repeater fields in English, these fields still exist in other languages."

Did you update the translation of your page or post after making the change to the field group?

I updated the translations many times before I noticed the problem, yes.

Please name me an exact example:

- Field Group name
- Field name
- permalink for a page where I can see the issue

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.

If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site login details will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" here to create a copy of the site that I can use to investigate the issue further.

However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server for this purpose.

If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Please note that WPML must also be registered on this staging site at https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/.

If you are not able to provide such a copy of the website for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

I tried to open the translation for this page and complete it inside the WPML Translation Editor, but the segments are not saving.

I guess the issue is the config of your ACF Groups.

Please make sure that all Repeater Fields and Groups are set to "Copy".

More details about recommended field configs:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/recommended-custom-fields-translation-preferences-for-acf-and-wpml/

IMPORTANT:
It seems that the minimum requirements are not met on the server:
https://wpml.org/en/home/minimum-requirements/

Could you please increase the WordPress memory limit (WP Memory Limit) to at least 256 MB? WPML requires at least 128M.

Your current values are:

PHP Memory Limit 128M

WP Memory Limit 256M

These settings can be restricted directly by your hosting provider. Therefore, I recommend contacting them and asking them to change them directly if the changes are not applied immediately.

The hosting support should change the PHP MEMORY LIMIT on the server to at least 256M or higher.

Thank you! Indeed, setting Badges repeater conf to Copy fixed the issue. Sorry for the mess 🙂
