Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a section on a page using the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) in WPML. Our site supports 4 languages, and the section is missing in all of them. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The section is not appearing in the ATE, so it cannot be translated. However, it appears on the translated pages in German. The section's headline in German is 'Unsere Berichte und Ratings', and it includes a headline, a description sentence, and three columns with links to documents.

Questions:
Why is the section not appearing in the ATE?
How can I ensure the section is available for translation in all languages? I created a workaround for EN and FR using the frontend builder but this is not the expected behaviour.

I can see the word "Test" in language EN but not in language FR, ES and IT. Why?

Hello there,

I already updated and removed the test text so it's not appearing anymore.

But I can see Unsere Berichte und Ratings available for translations.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hi Shekhar

Thank you very much for your investigation.

After two attemps, it seems to work now.

Here is what happened

0) Status before I translated: German version was included into spanish version.

1) I was able to detect the needed translations in ATE. I added them but two other sentences were deleted by ATE. These where already translated weeks ago .
Nevertheless I was able to save the translation.
Result: the spanish translation was now visible but the design was gone. And the ATE status was "einem Übersetzer zugewiesen".

2) Opened ATE again. Now another already translated sentence was missing. Added this and saved translation again (also updated translation storage on the lower left).
Result: now also the design was updated. The ATE status is now ok.

I will add screenshots

I need to report this to my manager, so I need an answer to these questions:
A) What is the technical reason that this happened?
B) Why are already translated sentences disappearing from ATE?
C) What can we do to prevent this in the future

Your user for our site is still valid, please use it if needed.

Thank you very much for your answer.

Best regards

Hello there,

Sometimes due to pending translations jobs the ate editor might not display the latest changes, the best workflow is to make sure translations is 100% complete before making any changes to the original page.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
