Background of the issue:
I am managing a site with three URLs for Dutch, English, and Spanish, each linked to different domains. The standard language was originally Dutch, but I changed it to English. The site URL is hidden link.

Symptoms:
After changing the standard language to English, I cannot edit existing posts and pages in Elementor in the new standard language. WPML still considers Dutch as the original language.

Questions:
How can I edit existing posts in Elementor after changing the standard language to English?
Why does WPML still consider Dutch as the original language after the change?

Thanks for contacting us. You might not have changed the page language correctly. You need to first unlink the English language https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/ . Then, while linking the English Language back to the page, you need to select this as the default language.

Could you try?
