Problem:
You have translated the footer of your website using WPML, but it does not appear in the German language. You are unsure how to enable 'Translate texts in admin screens' and why the translated footer is not appearing.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:
1. Copy the footer template ID.
2. Navigate to WPML-> String Translation.
3. Scroll down and click on the Translate texts in admin screens » link.
4. Search for the ID.
5. Select the string.
6. Click on the "Add to String Translation" button.
7. Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link.
8. Translate the ID.

Background of the issue:
I have translated the footer of our website using WPML, but it does not appear in the German language. I tried to use this documentation: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/the-footer-in-the-shop-does-not-switch-to-the-translated-footer/ but I do not see where I can enable 'Translate texts in admin screens'.

Symptoms:
The translated footer does not appear in the German language.

Questions:
How can I enable 'Translate texts in admin screens'?
Why is the translated footer not appearing in the German language?

The previous instructions in the link were incorrect, it stated I needed to go to settings instead of going to the string translation page, also I needed to replace the existing footer ID number with the translated footer id number, which was also not clear from the instruction you provided. But thanks anyway, I was able to resolve the issue.
