This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have used Elementor to tag a container as a link, selecting a dynamic link to a page. However, after translating the page, the link does not redirect to the appropriate language version but instead leads back to the main language.
Solution:
We recommend trying to replace the dynamic URL with a custom URL to see if this resolves the issue.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues and verify that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, we encourage you to open a new support ticket at our support forum for further assistance.

I have converted a container to a link via elementor tagging. In there I selected a dynamic link to a page (not a static url) but even after trasnlating the page the link doesn't lead me to the relevant/ current language but it leads me back to the main language. It is as if the translator never located this link in the first place to change its directory.

Hello there,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. I'd be happy to assist you on this issue.

Can you provide me page link where I can see the issue?

Further, To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.

So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
