This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
When making minor changes in an Elementor Text widget, such as updating a number or comma, it results in the deletion of existing translations in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). This issue leads to the loss of carefully crafted and expensive translations.
Solution:

Elementor: When I make a minor change in some Text widget, it causes the existing translation in ATE to be deleted. Even if I only change like a number or comma.
That's causing many issues for our client, as they did VERY fine crafted, expensive translations that get lost on every small change.
We want WPML to keep the translation for the field and only highlight, that there is changed content. How can this be achieved?

We would also switch to classic translation editor, if necessary.

Thank you!
