[Resolved] Elementor Template translation not working
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
I've translated an Elementor template named "Single Product v2" for use in product details across my website. However, I'm encountering issues with its functionality.
Solution:
To troubleshoot the issue:
Create a backup of your website to avoid disruption.
Switch to a default theme like "TwentyTwenty" and deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons.
Check if the issue persists. If not, reactivate plugins one by one to identify the culprit.
If needed, provide login information for your website copy, and I can perform the troubleshooting procedure for you.
It seems the issue is resolved after following these steps, indicating a third-party plugin might be responsible. You can now reactivate plugins one by one to pinpoint the problematic one.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
If the problem persists, after checking the steps, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.
Thank you. I went to the edit screen of the Elementor Template in question which can be accessed here:
hidden link
And the translation was not complete and it showed the gear icon. I clicked the gear icon on the sidebar and went to the translation editor and made sure the translation is 100% complete.
I have checked the issue and there seems to be a problem with the Heading element for some reason.
I added another TEST element there and in the translation editor it shows ok and also the Description shows ok and translated but it does not show in the front end of the website. (Please check the screenshot)
I also checked the Greek side in Elemebntor and it seems to show Empty items inside the container for some reason.
I added a simple text editor and the issue was there too.
I then checked the same thing on a clean installation of WPML and Elementor and it worked ok there.
This shows that there might be a conflict going on with one of your plugins or the theme which needs to be checked.
As this is a live website I will not be able to do that, here are the steps:
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.
If you can provide the login information of the website copy, I can do the same procedure for you.
If you want to provide the login info of the website copy, please make sure you set the next reply as private.
