I'm translating my (Dutch) website hidden link into English. The builder is Avada; with it come FAQ's. Also GravityForms are installed.

I cannot activate OTGS Installer.
When translating, some 'items' appear in the English front-end, others not. Some not even appear in the backend.

e.g.: posts. In the back-end in Dutch all visible; a number were translated. Switch to English and they are not there.
e.g. FAQ's with GravityForms in it. Both GF and FAQ are translated, but will not appear in search in English version I front end. e.g. "hidden link. Or hidden link
These ones are not even accessible with direct url.

And I encountered more of these anomalies and no clue where to look or where to fix.
Please help?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

PLEASE BE AWARE that it seems that whatever you do, you do on .com. Regardless whether you started at .nl..
Maybe you need to change something to avoid this "redirect"
PLEASE BE AWARE

Thanks for your patience.

I can see the issue you had there. Looks like the problem is caused by the "Yoast SEO Premium" plugin. It works fine once I deactivated it. Do you have a redirection option enabled in that plugin?

Sorry, I did not receive any response from you. Have you checked what I've mentioned earlier?

Hi Kor,
I was not in the position to reply sooner.
Thank you for your inquiry and for your investigation.

I had basically 2 issues; 1) no getting OTGS plugin activated and 2) random posts & GravityForms not showing.
You reported me back that everything (?) was traced back to Yoast Premium and to redirection in general - if I understood you well.

In the production website I deleted Yoast premium (free Yoast still running). It does not solve the activation issue of your plugin (see screenshot attached).

I wonder what made OTGS plugin run on the sandbox (inner-tree.nl), where deleting Yoast Premium in the production (inner-tree.com) does not help.

As to redirection; I have the plugin "Redirection" running for years. Then came Yoast Premium which also has a redirection. I was provide soms PHP to cancel the Yoast function of redirection:
/ Disable automatic redirection in Yoast when url changes / controlled by Redirection
add_filter('Yoast\WP\SEO\post_redirect_slug_change', '__return_true' );
add_filter('Yoast\WP\SEO\term_redirect_slug_change', '__return_true' );

Now, I found out (embarrassed to say) that the not showing of posts had to do with that in the English version of Dashboard the English posts were not published.

As to GravityForms; although the forms were translated they are embedded via a shortcode in a post (FAQ in this case). These posts were not published in the English version of my site. Also I found out that the shortcode of GravityForms need to be copied in the translated version of the post (FAQ in this case); otherwise the post remains empty. The shortcode will not show from itself in the translated version.

Summarizing, I still wonder about your plugin not activating. Also I wonder what it is that you found with Yoast (because I want to use Yoast).

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry for the confusion. In your initial question, you mentioned both URLs below are not "accessible with direct URL". So, I found out that disabling the Yoast SEO Premium plugin prevented the redirection and so this fixed the issue.

Furthermore, I'd like you to know that our support policy allows us to take care of only one issue per ticket.

But I'll try to answer your remaining questions.

1) no getting OTGS plugin activated.
OTGS is working fine when I checked and there is no need to upload the OTGS plugin again. Check out this link hidden link

2) random posts & GravityForms not showing.
As for the random post, we'll look into this after we've solved the GravityForms issue.

So, I'm looking at the GravityForms here and it seems to be working fine. hidden link .

Could you share another page that shows the GravityForm issue? Or create a test page and replicate the issue over there so that I could check?

Hi Kor,
to recap my previous reply in include your answer;
1) working with the sandbox website required you to do some tricks with Yoast. This is not an issue in the production website. Solved.
2) installing OTGS installer not needed - although activation is an issue still. Since I directly download from WMPL there's no direct issue - although it indicates a conflict somewhere in the database. Solved.
3) GravityForms; The GF are translated; this works fine. The GF are embedded in posts that were not published yet. Now they are. Solved.
4) GravityForms; The GF are embedded in posts via shortcode. While translating the post, the shortcode needs to be copied from the source language post. It is not automatically taken in the translated version. That is why initially the posts were empty. This might be something for your dev.dept. Solved.
5) Random posts not showing up; this had to do with posts in the translated language not being published. Solved.

I deleted the sandbox hidden link.
Since I gave you to use my own account I reset the passwords. Please discard the account and login data you received.

Kor, Thank you for your time and effort.

Regards, Sytze
