When we have WPML Media plugin activated, Elementor won't save updates to the page. There is a 524 error. In addition, when we have BOTH WPML and Yoast active, the same problem occurs. It does not occur with any other plugins.
Thank you! That resolved the first part of the problem. Is there similar code to that in WPML SEO or the main WPML plugin?
With WPML enabled, including WPML Media, I am now able to edit some pages even with Yoast SEO enabled. However, I am not able to edit other pages, like the homepage: hidden link. As soon as I disable the main WPML plugin, I am able to edit the homepage with Yoast SEO enabled. WPML appears to be conflicting with Yoast SEO in certain circumstances.
By the way, won't commenting out the WPML media library code just reset the next time the plugin is updated? And how come that code is causing an issue to begin with?

When you say "WPML appears to be conflicting with Yoast SEO in certain circumstances.", do you still get 524 timeouts when saving or something else is happening?
As for the workaround - yes, it would be rewritten after plugin update. This is just a workaround before permanent solution is released, this logic calls some slow queries when there is a bigger amount of media files, not to go into details with technicality of this.

I am not sure about the timing of a permanent solution, it is up to developers. So to clarify, you get 524 when you edit any original page which has duplicates created into all the other languages?
What shall I do in the meantime, until an update is ready, so that it doesn't get overwritten?
Regarding your question, yes, the error is still 524, but it is not on all pages. I have only tested a couple of pages but the homepage is the important one it doesn't work on since we need to update upcoming holidays on it often. To reiterate, the homepage updates fine when Yoast SEO is active UNLESS you activate WPML as well.

The truth is that we don't have solution in that case - we need debug why this request takes for as long that it hits timeout.
Can I ask you the following? In order to debug this issue, I will install Duplicator plugin, will create packages and will try this on my localhost and escalate further to 2nd tier.
I will exclude all the media files, etc, to keep the package minimal.
You are welcome to do that, but the site is quite large and difficult to copy. You should know that this site is a staging website already, and you are welcome to make any changes to it you'd like without setting up another staging website.
