[Closed] Error PHP Warning: preg_match(): Unknown modifier '-'

Suddenly my apache error log is spammed with thousand of this errors :

Thank you for contacting the support.

Before proceeding further, may I ask you to try the following?

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

- Deactivate all plugins except WPML and its addons and check for the issue.
- Activate each plugin one-by-one, while keeping check on the issue after a plugin is activated. This way you'll be able to pinpoint a plugin having a conflict (or problem), if any.
- If the problem persists, repeat the above steps with a default theme of WordPress (i.e. 2021 or 2023).

Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

I can't deactivate plugins or theme. The error appear suddenly since last thursday. Can we check which data causes this error ?

Thank you for the updates.

I checked in our forums and apparently couldn't find any solid reason for that. Can you check the error log to provide more details on this warning? Perhaps a detailed dump of the error may point to something useful.

Or we will need to go through the steps I mentioned earlier. If it is not possible to check on the live site, I'll advise to create a staging/test site by cloning the live site. So we can investigate without compromising the original site.
