This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is attempting to export an XLIFF file for a French page that has already been translated from English to French. The client expected to see an option to export a published page that has been translated to XLIFF or a way to change the status of the completed translation. Instead, they received a message saying 'No translation in the queue.'
Solution:
1. Ensure that you are working with the latest versions of WPML and other relevant plugins. You can check for updates in your WPML dashboard.
2. Verify that the page was originally created in English and then translated to French. If this is the case, you cannot export the French page back to English as an XLIFF file.
3. To export the XLIFF file, go to WPML > Translation Management, select the English page, and send it for translation to French. Even if it has already been translated, this action allows you to export the existing French translation as an XLIFF file.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking the related known issues and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to export an XLIFF file for a French page that has already been translated from English to French. The page is published and the translation status is Complete. Here is a video explanation: hidden link. Please also see previous ticket - #16630589.

Symptoms:
I expected to see an option to export a published page that has been translated to XLIFF or a way to remove the status of the completed translation. Instead, I got a message saying 'No translation in the queue.'

Questions:
How can I export an XLIFF file for a completed translation?
Is there a way to change the status of a completed translation to allow export?

Hello,

you said: "I am trying to export an XLIFF file for a French page that has already been translated from English to French."

You can not translate a French page from English to French, you need to translate a page from the default language to another. As I can see from your video, page is English and you are trying to translate it to Englih, which is not possible,

From the top bar filters in Translation Managment, you can select French language and select French page and then send it for translation/export translation if that was the original way in which it was translated.

Hello,

1) Go to Plugins > Add New > Commercial > Click “Check for updated" and update WPML plugins to latest versions.

Please make sure to create a backup, before doing any actions, just in case.

2) Go to WPML > Translation Managment > Translators, make sure to add your user and correct all language pairs.

Let me know how it goes.

I'm not sure you fully understand the issue. Steps above have not helped

Hello,

1) That is not latest versions, please try steps that I suggested (click Check for updates button) and you can then update to latest.

2) I understood the issue, but I think you might have misunderstood my replies.

So please edit the mentioned page and lets see if it it was originally created in French or English, if it was originally created in English and translated to French, what you experience is expected; you can not now send it from French to English. If not, then it could be deeper issue that I will need to check.

In that case, you can select English from top filter, select English page and send it to translation to French.

Let me know.

As per the video - I have translated a page from English to French using automatic translation. Both pages are published. I now wish to send the translated french page as an XLIFF to a translator for minor adjustments. Are you saying this is not possible?

If not, is there a work around to export a french page already translated to XLIFF format.

This seems a miss, this is a perfectly acceptable use case of having an auto translated page sending to a translation provider for review.

Hello,

okay, this is possible, but you are doing it wrong. Translation management is not for exporting pages but for translating pages.

So what you should do is send the English page for translation to French, and then export the XLIFF file from the WPML > Translation screen, as if you would like to translate it further. The XLIFF file should then contain the existing FR translation.

Ok, thank you. This makes sense. Could not find any articles for this and the interface is confusing. Good to know though this workflow is supported.
