Background of the issue:
I am trying to make sure the WPML plugin works properly on the website. I expected to see the Plugins (WPML) where I can update the verification code. The issue can be seen at: hidden link

Symptoms:
I got an error: Uncaught Error: Class "DOMDocument" not found in /home/eliseber/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/classes/xml-config/class-wpml-xml-config-validate.php:67. There has been a critical error on this website.

Questions:
How can I make sure everything will work properly with WPML on my website.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. To resolve this issue, you need to ensure that the DOM extension is installed and enabled on your server.

We have another clients who had a similar issue and was able to fix it by enabling the DOM extension on the server:

1. https://wpml.org/forums/topic/fatal-error-when-trying-to-access-installed-plugin/#post-12615561
2. https://wpml.org/forums/topic/dashboard-problem/

You may ask hosting support about it.

Please let me know if this resolves your issue or if you need further assistance with this issue.

Thank you

Good day, I tried login in the cPanel and all to check if Dom extension was in there, and it's already in there at this point.

So the problem is likely something else.

Thanks!

Thanks for confirming it. To take a closer look at this issue, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

Your next answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is essential.

Thank you
