Thanks for your patience. Sorry, it looks like your staging site hidden link is no longer accessible, and our 2nd Tier Support is unable to proceed with the investigation. Could you please bring it back online so we can continue troubleshooting?
Thanks for your patience. While checking on the staging site you provided, I noticed that the posts "Featured Images" are all broken as shown in the attached screenshot. Could you correct it so that our 2nd Tier Support can check on this?
Thanks for your reply. Could you let me know what changes you made? When I checked, the featured image on the translated posts is now showing the correct picture.
Thanks for your patience. Ok, I can see the issue now. Please leave it as it is and I will forward this to our 2nd Tier Support for further investigation.
Thanks for your patience. I’ve received feedback from our 2nd Tier Support team.
We tested updating the featured image on the post you shared and re-translating it. Here’s what we found:
The featured image is stored correctly via the _thumbnail postmeta entry.
However, when translating the post, the new featured image isn’t being copied over to the translation.
When checking WPML > Settings, we noticed the entire Media Translation settings section is missing. It appears this section has been disabled by the Media Cloud plugin.
According to their plugin page, Media Cloud has its own WPML integration: hidden link. This integration is not developed or maintained by us, and it’s not a plugin we officially collaborate on. Since we have very few users with this plugin installed, we recommend asking the client to contact the plugin authors directly to find out why the WPML Media Settings are disabled. One of these missing settings is responsible for copying featured images to translations.
Alternatively, the client can manually update the featured images in each translation.
Thanks for your patience. We need to configure WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation > Media (attachment) as Translatable before the Media Translation settings below will appear. I need to recheck with our 2nd Tier Support and will come back to you as quickly as possible.
Also, remember that when we activate WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation > Media (attachment) as Translatable, the images on ProfileView become invisible.
