Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
Do you use any terms for your "Selected products" as shown in the attached screenshot? I'm referring to your terms you use for your Danish language Selected Products section. When I edited the Loop Grid in Danish language, the terms are not selected or showing.
You might want to manually adjust the query terms in "Loop Grid" > Query > Term here hidden link
Also, I edited the Loop Template here for the English language hidden link for a test. You might want to retranslate the texts to English language and I apologize for that.
Actually it worked fine until I run a WPML routine trying to mend the problems from last thread. It was a fix suggested by your support earlier:
- Go to "WPML > Settings" and scroll down to the Media Translation section.
- Select the options shown in this screenshot and click on Start.
- Clear the caches from your site and browser and check again.
But it did not work this time, instead the featured products disappeared.
I've updated the source to "latest product" in Edit Loop Grid > Query as shown in the attached screenshot and your products are now visible. It seems there aren't any products marked as "featured" in English. Could you please review each English language product and ensure the ones you want to showcase in the featured section are configured correctly?
Thank you Kor, but there are still problems:
All languages looked fine, but when I tried to add a product to featured products in backend: it worked fine in main language, but everything disappeared in all other languages except for 1 product (Copy paper) AND the newly added featured product
I think this has nothing to do with elementor, the featured products are added in
backend > edit product.
I will have to investigate this further. You are correct, the translated products are already marked with "featured" but it is still not showing on the "Featured Products" Loop query.
Thanks for your patience. Could you please backup and update all elementor plugins to the latest version? Also, update all WPML plugins too. hidden link
Let me know when you've done that and we'll recheck to see if the issue persists.
In fact all WPML plugins are already updated on live site. Elementor plugin have some critical warnings as to update so will take some time before we can update that. But 100% sure this has got nothing to do with Elementor, it worked perfectly until I did the WPML routine your colleague advised as described earlier.
Once you've updated all plugins on your staging site, please inform me so I can recheck. If the issue persists post-update, I'll escalate it to our 2nd Tier Support. It's essential to have all plugins updated before proceeding with the escalation, and I appreciate your understanding.
Thank you really wonder why this should be necessary - everything worked perfect with current configuration until we followed your (WPML support's) advise from earlier which made the featured products crash.
We have now made a new backup: backup.grontkontor.dk with updated plugins, looking forward to finally see this problem solved.
Thanks for your patience. I have no solution for this and I will have to escalate this to our 2nd Tier Support for further investigation. I will come back to you once I've feedback.
