Problem: The customer was getting this error - "Unable to parse data from service response"

Solution:
His IP was blocked automatically by our security server settings and the Systems team had to unblock the IP.

I am trying to:
* Setup WPML

I expected to see:
* A screen saying my site key has been registered

Instead, I got:
* An error message that says "Unable to parse data from service response" (attached)

Things I've done:
* Disabled all plugins except the 2 WPML plugins
* Switched to the standard 2023 WP theme
* Contacted WPEngine support (they say they are not seeing any errors being logged on the server and that they haven't seen this before)
* Checked the installer status screen

Regarding "Installer Status" screen
* When I first arrive at this screen, it has a checkmark next to "WPML API Server" but then when I click "Check Now" it changes to an X (both images attached).

Hi there.

I can confirm that the current request has already been escalated to the Systems team and I'm currently waiting for an answer from them.

My guess is that your site is currently not able to access the WPML API.

I will get back to you as soon as I have an update.

I'm leaving the ticket assigned to myself.
