We are getting "unable to assign job to translator" error when we try to translate the post from the translation queue.

Please let us know if we are missing something.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

First of all, sorry for the late reply due to a higher workload. Please go to WPML-> Translation Management-> Translators tab, and check if you can see the translators list.

If you don't see it, please check the following guide and apply the mentioned workaround. (https://wpml.org/errata/disappearing-translator-list-in-wpml-4-6-5-on-multisite-installations/)

Best reagrds,
Osama

Hello,

We were not able to see the translator list, we have updated the code as mentioned in the article and we are able to see the translators but still we are receiving the same error when we try to translate.

Hi,

Please check if the assigned translator has the correct translation pairs. If they have the correct pairs, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. I tested with the provided account, and the process worked correctly.

I noticed that some translators don't have language pairs, so please add them. (Kindly check the attached screenshot)

In order to test the issue, kindly try to reproduce it using the provided account and let me know if the issue persists.

Best regards,
Osama

On staging site it works, but on live we already assigned all the translators language but still it doesn't work there.

Hi,

Would you please create a new admin user on the live site with translator capabilities? After that, please send a page to translation and assign it to the new admin translator account to check the issue.

If it persists, I'd need access details for the live site to check the issue.

Alternatively, if you can push the staging site to the live site, that could fix the issue.

Best regards,
Osama
