Background of the issue:
I needed to turn off the option 'Language filtering for AJAX operations' because of cookie issues with our privacy regulations. I am looking for a way, possibly with some code, to have a fallback to the default language (EN) when there are no translations available for a particular page/post. When a user clicks to switch the language, it should open the default version (EN).

Symptoms:
Now if you click on the language bar to switch the language (FR or DE) and if for that language there's no translation for that page it will redirect you to the home page.

Questions:
How can I activate fallback to the default language in WPML?
Is there a code-based solution to achieve language fallback to English when translations are unavailable?
