This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to use the WPML editor to translate content on your site but are unable to access it because you are using WP Bakery / Visual Composer, which is not supported by your current WPML membership plan.
Solution:
To translate content that comes from custom themes or plugins like WP Bakery / Visual Composer, you need to upgrade to at least the "Multilingual CMS" membership level. With your current basic plan, you can only translate content built with the WordPress builder. For more details on the different membership levels, please visit WPML Membership Plans.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi there.

The issue is related to the fact that you are using WP Bakery / Visual Composer as a page builder for your website, which is not supported by the current WPML membership.

To be able to translate content that comes from custom themes or plugins, you will need to be at least on the "Multilingual CMS" membership level.

With the basic plan, you can translate content built with the WordPress builder.

I will also be sharing a screenshot from here (the red X on the left is the one under the column with the "Multilingual Blog" subscription):

I hope that you will find this information helpful. 🙂
