Hello, i hope you are well.
Sorry for my english, i don't speak very well, i'll try my best
I bought your plugin yesterday as it was recommended by Newspaper theme developers and as it was indicated as greatly compatible on your website with this theme 🙏

I encounter a very simple difficulty, i'm sorry to bother you for something like that. Every template page in Newspaper are managed with TagDiv and i am able to choose different configuration for everything, which is great.
But for example, on a simple Single Template (if i import any template from the hundred they have), i'm unable to find a way to have the automatic translation of words from the template (like "Published on" or "By" (author)).
Here a perfect exemple from their demo : hidden link
It's the "Published on (date) By (author)" that I can't manage to find anywhere to automatically display the good translation depending of the language of the user. I didn't find them on String Translation.
For the content of the article itself, the plugin works perfectly. For the template of each article, i can't find the way yet.

I'm very concern because i plan to have 8 uniques single templates + 8 uniques categories + 8 to 10 subcategories + 1 homepage, for 6 languages, each would force me to create manually 162 pages, which will lead to a lot of errors, and also the necessity to choose the good "single template" corresponding to each language at each translation. This is the opposite of what is practical, haha, but I'm just sharing my concerns and getting a bit worried probably for nothing. I'm sure you have an obvious answer, yet I've searched a lot and still can't find the solution by myself. Again, I'm really sorry for bothering you with something so simple

Thanks for your valuable help.

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting WPML support, I hope also that you're doing well!

Could you please try the following steps and let me know if that helps?

- Go to WPML > String Translation
- Scroll down to the "Auto register strings for translation" section and enable that option
- Visit the page where the strings are added on the front end
- Go back to WPML > String translation
- Search again for the strings and translate them
- Disable the "Auto Register" option

Kind regards,
Mohamed

Thank you a lot Mohamed, really interesting feature. It actually seems to work pretty well as the String Translation do detect now the sentence that i couldn't find there before to translate. Pretty awesome, i'll reuse this feature if i get stuck in the future 👍

I actually ended up finding the solution of my problem yesterday, but i was a bit confuse because the Newspaper documentation is not up to date (hidden link) and the screenshots showing on Cloud Template columns for each language for each template doesn't exist anymore, the current version don't have any language column anymore on this interface.
- You have to mouse hover your template, choose to edit it with normal view (not with the Composer), then create the language version you need.
- Once back on your general overview of all your header, page, footer template etc, you actually simply have to click on the language menu in the top wordpress bar. All template will disappear and only show the translated ones.

I think this is the expected way to go 😅

Thanks again a lot Mohamed for your help 🙏
