This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) where previously split fields in product translations are now combined. This change has significantly increased the time required to translate a product.
Solution:
We confirmed that a new option to keep fields short and separate has been recently introduced and will remain available. This option should help in maintaining the previous efficiency in translating products by keeping fields split as before. If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend checking this setting in your ATE configuration to ensure it's enabled.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I want the ATE to go back to what it was before. This is a nightmare now. I am trying to copy a product on my site hidden link. Before, when copying a product, most of the fields were translated because they were split. For example: Color: Blue, Size: Approx. 9.5 cm, Limited Edition: Yes. Now, these strings are all together, and it takes me 15 minutes to translate a product instead of 10 seconds.

Symptoms:
When copying a product, the fields that were previously split are now combined, making the translation process much longer.

Questions:
How can I revert the ATE to its previous version?
Why are the product fields no longer split when copying a product?

Hello,

I just found out that there is an option to keep the short segments (please see attached).

Can you confirm that this option will remain in the future?

Thank you.

Luis

Hi Luis.

Yes, you are correct! That option was recently launched as my colleagues confirmed and will stay there.

I suspect these changes were made so that we would have less fields on the page and increase performance but I understand how it would affect someone in an exact situation like our case was.

I am happy that you were able to find this and that this does what you need.
