This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You had technical errors with a translation page and created a clone using the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin. After removing the original translation page and replacing it with the clone, the translation link to the original language page was disconnected, and the 'Choose a Page to assign' option doesn't appear on the translation page.
Solution:
To reconnect the existing original language page with the new translation page, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the original and the cloned pages are correctly set up in their respective languages.
2. Go to the WPML > Translation Management section in your WordPress dashboard.
3. Use the 'Connect with translations' feature to manually link the original page with the cloned translation.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I had technical errors with one of the translation pages, so I created a clone page with the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin. I removed the translation page with errors and replaced it with the clone page.

Symptoms:
The translation link to the original language page is now disconnected, and the 'Choose a Page to assign' option doesn't appear on the translation page.

Questions:
How can I reconnect the existing original language page and the new translation page?

Hi Bruno,

Thank you for your assistance.

I would love to give you access to the WP Admin, but I don't know where I can find “WordPress admin and server access" that you mentioned. Where do I go to find this box?

Thanks.

Hi, you got disconnected from the chat so I moved it here.

I marked your next reply as private so that you can safely add credentials.

And send me the urls for the page that should be original and the one that should be its translation, so I can check

Thank you, Bruno, for your assistance. I came back to the website today and then I started to see "Connect with translations" on the original language page. I'm not sure how this was fixed, but now the original language and translation pages are connected properly.

Thanks!
