This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are building a multilingual news module using ACF and WPML, where each news post has multiple WYSIWYG fields filled with custom content per language. In the Dutch version, everything works correctly, but in English and French, the fields don’t appear. You need to configure ACF and WPML so that these fields are editable separately per language.
Solution:
First, ensure that on WPML > Settings > Post Type Translation, the "ACF Field Group" post type is set to "Not translatable". If you have translated some of the field groups, make sure to delete these translations in ACF.
For translations using the WordPress Editor:
1. On the original page or post, set the translation method to "WordPress Editor".
2. Set all field groups to "Different fields across languages".
Now, you should be able to translate the fields using the WordPress Editor and see the translated field on the translated posts or pages.
For translations using the WPML Translation Editor:
IMPORTANT: If you plan to use the WPML Translation Editor for creating the translations, then avoid editing the translation directly inside the WordPress Editor. Instead, set the translation method for the post or page to "WPML Translation Editor" and set the field groups to "Same fields across languages".
