This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with duplicating images and some information from the original products to their translations using WPML's Translation Management. This problem occurs despite the products being duplicated correctly for most items.
Solution:
First, ensure that the WooCommerce Multilingual plugin is active on your site, as it is crucial for proper functionality in different languages. If it's not installed, you can add it via "Plugins > Add New > Commercial tab".
Next, verify that the option to copy the image to the translation is enabled for the product by following these steps:
- Open the default product in the WordPress editor.
- In the language meta section, ensure that the options shown in this screenshot are selected.
- Update both the product and its translation.
- Clear the caches from the site and browser.
If images still do not appear in the translations, proceed with these additional steps:
- Navigate to `WPML > Settings`.
- Scroll to Media translation and click on the "Start" button, ensuring that these options are selected.
If the issue persists, it might be due to outdated solutions or specific cases not covered here. We recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If needed, please open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.
