This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client experienced an issue where product variations disappeared after saving a product with a discount. This problem only occurred when the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin was activated.

Solution:
1. We recommended taking a backup of the website for safety reasons.
2. We instructed the client to navigate to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Settings tab > Troubleshooting link and select the following options:
- Sync products variations
- Fix translated variations relationships
and then click on the 'Start' button.

3. If the issue persisted, we advised the client to go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page and press the following buttons:
- Clear the cache in WPML
- [Products] Synchronize posts taxonomies
- Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs
- Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
- Assign translation status to duplicated content
- Set language information

If the provided solution does not apply or is outdated, or if you are still experiencing issues, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should the problem persist, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket with us.

HI,

I updated my entire website 2 weeks ago.
I tried to update a product variation (simply adding a product discount).
All the variation disappear when I clicked save (I can still see 3 variations on the side... I originally had 12 variations for this product)

I deacticated all the plugin and without a doubt; the problem come from WPML. When I activate the plugin WPML Multilingual CMS, the bug show up. WHen I deactivate it, is disappear

*note that dev.emeucharlevoix.com is the staging environment. The live website is emeucharlevoix.com

Hello Vincent,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Meanwhile this ticket is attended by one of my colleagues, can you please fix the following on your dev environment:

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

- Update WordPress to the latest version. Since you're using latest WPML plugins, it is important to keep everything else also up to date.

- Also fix “WP Memory Limit” to at least 128MB while 256MB is recommended (for better performance). See https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/ for detailed information. You can set this in your wp-config.php file by adding following code:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

Remember to add these lines before the line where it says:
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

Then please check again with only WPML plugins, WooCommerce and a default theme (i.e. 2024). And share your findings.

Regards.

Hi,
Many thanks for your support.

I tried what you suggest and unfortunately it didn't work.

The curious part is that it occur on one specific product.

See image attached.

I am able to, for instance, regenerate the variation (1), but if I click on save (2), they disappear. THe number of variations shows up.

Any idea?

Thanks again,

Vincent
