Tell us what you are trying to do?

We are trying to use WPML multilingual CMS plugin. We would like to test it QA environment and then do it production. as per our internal guidelines we need to push all the changes through git codebase.

Step 1: download wpml plug-in folders like 'sitepress-multilingual-cms', 'wpml-string-translation', 'wpml-media-translation' and copy it in codebase '.\wp-content\plugins' directory and deploy/push the code changes to QA server environment.

Step 2: Activate 'sitepress-multilingual-cms', 'wpml-string-translation', 'wpml-media-translation' plugs from admin page (hidden link)

Above steps are not following stand installation approach. So its not creating required database changes.

Could you guide me on right way approach to install a WPML plugin. we need to check-in all plugs code to git and deploy to various AWS EKS pods.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Yes

Is there a similar example that we can see?
NA

What is the link to your site?

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

I think there shouldn't be an issue when activating WPML on QA site/server, all necessary tables will be created after activating WPML from Plugins page. It sounds like you copy "sitepress-multilingual-cms" folder to a site and activate it.

What happens in the database of the QA site if you follow two steps above? Please share some screenshots before/after activating WPML.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
