This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to set up WordPress with WooCommerce to manage a single database for products, orders, and users across two different domains.

Solution:
We confirmed that it is possible to manage a single WooCommerce database across multiple domains using WPML. We advised the client to set up languages per domain, which allows for the default language on one domain and a translated version on another domain. We provided a documentation link for setting up WPML with different domains per language:

For the client's additional question regarding the main shop page and syncing of links, images, orders, and users, we created a separate support ticket to address that specific issue.

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the solution does not resolve your issue, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket. You can do so here:

Hello!

We're trying to set up wordpress with woocommerce, that will have 2 different domains, but we need to have only one database.

This means that we want to manage only one woocommerce (products, orders, users etc.) but for 2 domains.
Example: If an order comes from any of the domains it should go into the same woocommerce database. If we edit products in woocommerce it should sync data on both domains. If user registers on any of the domains it should sync into the same woocommerce.

Is this possible to achieve with WPML?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with the first debugging steps and try to help with the issue quickly.

Yes, that is possible and you can set to use language per domains, so you will have your default language on domain.com and translated for example on domain.es

Hello,

thanks for your reply.

Ok so then we're on the right track.
One more question, do you know what happens if we want to add different domain to our main shop page. Will links, images (links, names..), orders, users etc. automatically sync? Or do we have to make a full import of users, orders, translate images etc.?

Hi there and welcome back!

From my understanding, the initial question tackled here was resolved. I'm happy to hear that! 🙂

However, it seems that there is also a different question that you are looking to have answered.

Per our Support Policy, we can handle only one issue/topic/question per ticket.

Continuing with one per ticket helps not only supporters to focus on one issue at once, but also enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.

I created a new ticket for you in regard to the new issue here:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/split-what-happens-if-we-want-to-add-different-domain-to-our-main-shop-page/

You will be notified via email when there's an answer to that ticket, too.

Also, can you please mark this current ticket as resolved?

Thank you.

Mihai
