we have an issue after imported
we have a page:
hidden link
but we don't translate this page to german or italian but why the switch language can switch.
de: hidden link
it: hidden link
and when I switch to de or it, it actually english version, I know that because I check it same postid.
Please help to us fix it or what is problem when I create a new language in this post?

Hwello.

Thanks for reaching out. I see that the same problem appears in other pages included in your screenshot that are published, like hidden link or hidden link.

All those items share the same structure:

  • They have Italian content, although their native language is English.
  • They are published.
  • They have not been translated into Italian or German.
  • Their content appears in Italian, meaning as in their default English language, when switching the language to both German or Italian.

I suspect that the content was imported to the default language, English, regardless of its language - that is something to consider in your own import process. The outcome, as Maiya suggested, seems to be related to your translation settings for this kind of content. WPML provides a mode "Display as translated" that does exactly that: when a piece of content has no translation in secondary languages, it shows the same content as in the primary language.

If you want to change that setting, please go to WPML -> Settings, scroll down to the Post Types Translation section, find your post type, and change the translation mode to Translatable (it will show only translated content in secondary languages).
