Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate an ACF Options page on my site hidden link. The change doesn't take effect unless I temporarily deactivate the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual plugin. I deactivate the plugin, make the change, and activate it again. The issue only appears in the ACF options page.
Symptoms:
The translation change on the ACF Options page doesn't take effect unless the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual plugin is deactivated.
Questions:
Why doesn't the translation change take effect on the ACF Options page unless I deactivate the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual plugin?
I understand the issue you're facing. From the WPML Debug Info, I noticed that the translation preference for the Option page UI is set to "Translatable." It is not necessary to translate them. The default option page will work, and since the option page can only be translated manually, you can switch the language from the Option page and add the translation.
Please try the following steps:
1. Go to "WPML > Settings" and scroll down to the 'Custom Field Translation' section.
2. Set the translation preference for "acf-ui-options-page" to "Not translatable."
3. After that, follow the instructions in this guide to configure the translation preference for the Option page field and translate them accordingly.
Please let me know if that helps or if you still need help in this matter. I will be happy to help.
There's no such option as "acf-ui-options-page". See the attachment.
I have also checked the ACF field and I have chosen the Expert option with "Copy once" option for every field.
I apologize for the confusion in my previous message. I mistakenly mentioned "Custom field translation". As the 'acf-ui-options-page' is a post type, you should find that by going to "Post Type Translation." I am very sorry for this inconvenience.
Please navigate to 'WPML > Settings' and scroll down to the 'Post Type Translation' section. There, you will find the "acf-ui-options-page" post type. Set this to 'Not Translatable'.
Please let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
Hi There,
Thank you for trying out the suggestions.
As the issue persists, a closer inspection will be required to understand the root cause of the issue.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.
You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.
IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link
