Background of the issue:
I am experiencing an issue with my homepage when using the WPML plugin. When I activate the Spanish language and attempt to view the homepage, it redirects me to the English homepage instead. This issue only occurs on the homepage. Other pages switch languages correctly.

Symptoms:
On the homepage, when I select Spanish from the language switcher in the footer, the site redirects me back to the English version automatically. Spanish Lange Homepage is not working getting 404 error.

Questions:
Could you please assist me in resolving this issue as soon as possible?

I suspect that the cause of the issue might be that the homepage is not translated or the translation is not published.

Could you please double-check if the homepage is correctly translated and the translation is published? Also, re-save the permalinks to make sure all changes after installing WPML are refreshed.
