This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues importing products using WP All Import with the WPML Import Export plugin installed. Despite following all instructions, you end up with more products in English than in another language, even though your Excel file has equal products listed as translations.
Solution:
We found that the import setting 'Skip WooCommerce products if their data in your file has not changed' was enabled, which we disabled and ran another successfull import.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We highly recommend opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Did you make sure before importing that the WPML language settings are identical to your old site?

Please verify WPML > Languages > Edit languages.

It would also be very helpful if you could send us the WPML troubleshooting information.

More information can be found here:

Best regards

Could you also please share the import file(s)?

You can use a service like WeTransfer or another cloud service of your choice to send me a download link.

Do those exported file(s) only include English and Arabic products?

They include both
here's the WeTransfer link for the import file

Your dataset is structurally clean and safe:

WPML should correctly:
Create 962 products
Link each EN ↔ AR pair as translations

Before importing, I’d still suggest one final validation:

- Check if default language = en in WPML
- Ensure import runs in the correct language context (en default, second language ar)
- Confirm no pre-existing products with the same SKU (to avoid merge conflicts)

Please answer:

1) Does the site on which you import the products have the same language setup as your old site?

2) If so, could it be that there are already existing products on your new site that might use the same product ID or SKU as products on your import file?

This website already had 182 products, which I deleted, to make sure we are not running into issues with similar IDs or SKUs on import.

Then I ran the product category synchronization wizard at WPML > Taxonomy Translation > Hierarchy Synchronization, as on Arabic, at Products > Categories, only one product category showed up.

Further, here, only 11 product categories from 22 are translated into Arabic. Actually, it looks like you have duplicated entries in English, once in English and then in Arabic. I would suggest deleting those Arabic duplicates in the English language.

As you import the product together with its categories, it would be advisable to first translate the existing categories. To avoid any unexpected issues, I also deleted all product taxonomies before running the import again.

I then created a new import with a new file upload, using the file that you had send me.

I set up a new import template and left the unique identifier on the default value:
{title[1]} - {product_id[1]} - {sku[1]}{size[1]}

The import was completed with 1924 new records.

As the final step, I went to WPML > Export & Import and clicked "Run WPML Import".

I can not confirm any issue. The site now has 962 products, in each language, and they are connected. Please use my import template and settings as a reference.

Note that if you import products together with their categories or tags, it is recommended to import those taxonomies first with a separate import file and import method.

I see, but all the products are now imported as single products, i had a column for product type, in wp all import woo setting i'm setting xproduct type to that column. If i did that and imported categories separately also used your template for import will the import work correctly?

Thanks.

Hello there,

I see that you checked Link all variations option in the attributes section that's why product variations where not grouped. if i uncheck that and import again so my products are grouped will it work again?

Thanks.
