This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is trying to keep the WordPress Dashboard in English while having Russian as the default site language. However, the Dashboard language keeps reverting to Russian automatically after attempting to change it in the user profile settings.
Solution:
We recommend checking if the "Set admin language as editing language" option is enabled in your WPML settings. If it is, you should disable this option to prevent the Dashboard language from changing when you switch languages in the admin area. After disabling this option, set your desired language in your user profile and verify if the issue is resolved.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the problem persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket.
