When i try to switch in between pages the language keeps going back to english, even though the default language for the page is estonian. How to fix this? My browser is in english, might that be the problem? If yes, I would like to remove it. So if you choose a language when entering the site, it remains as the language chosen, and doesn't switch back for the user.
I have also issues with item in the shop. Seems they have not synced properly and for some reason in the default language (estonian) i can not open most of the items or add them to the cart. I really hope this gets resolved asap
Welcome to the WPML support forum. To help speed up the support process, I've enabled a private message for submitting the debug information for this support ticket. Please follow these initial debugging steps: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/
In short:
- Go to "WPML > Support > Debug Information" (link)
- Copy the Debug Information from there.
- Find the private field I activated and paste that information.
---
While waiting for that information, here are few things you can verify:
- in "WPML > Languages > Browser language redirect": did you activate one of the two options to redirect visitors based on their browser language?
- Can you tell me if all links redirect to English or some specific? For example if I click on links in the top menu I remain on the Estonian version but if I click the click in the slider "TELLI SIIT" it will send me to the English site because that link didn't get translated.
- WPML can automatically translate links in your content if you are using the default editor.
It's automatic, but you can go to "WPML > Settings > Translate Link Targets" and click on "Scan now and adjust links" to force WPML to rescan your content for links.
