This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You need to restrict admins and editors to a specific language in WPML, but cannot find a built-in solution.
Solution:
While WPML does not provide a direct feature for this, you can achieve it by using user roles and capabilities. We recommend using a role management plugin like Members or User Role Editor. Here’s how you can set it up:
1. Install a role management plugin.
2. Create custom roles and define capabilities that restrict access to specific languages.
3. Assign these roles to your admins and editors.
This setup requires custom work, which is outside our standard support scope, but we hope this guidance helps you move forward.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it becomes outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Hi there,

I understand your need to restrict certain users to specific languages within WPML.

While WPML doesn't have built-in functionality for this, you can achieve it using user roles and capabilities. You might want to use a role management plugin, such as Members or User Role Editor, to create custom roles and capabilities. Then, assign these roles to your admins and editors, restricting their access to specific languages.

Implementing all of this requires custom work that falls outside the scope of our Support Policy, but we are always happy to at least offer some guidance and direction.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Hello Mihai,

Thank you for your quick response. I will take it from here with my development team following your guidance. It seems to me like a smart feature to add for future developments. I'll gladly submit it if you have a "suggest a feature" option.

Much appreciated,

Guy.
