[Resolved] Markers Erased/Not applied When Pasting Text in New ATE
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: If you're experiencing issues with markers being erased when pasting text into the new Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), or if copying the original text does not apply the markers in the new ATE, here's what we've found: Solution: Our developers have identified that in the new ATE, any pasted text is stripped of markers, although existing markers within the editor are preserved unless they are completely overwritten. This behavior was consistent with our previous editor version. We are planning to address this in a future release after further evaluation.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. 2) Not working as it works in Gen2. If you paste a word on top of a marked word, the marker is removed (unless you do not select the whole marked word, but part of it).
3) Random behaviour: Sometimes it does not copy the markers and when selecting a marker all the others are added automatically. However, once the segment is saved and then reopened the markers are gone. Other times it seems to work okay
I have tested this on a sandbox provided for your colleague, as well as our site

Hi,
Our developers have informed me that some changes have been made and are currently deployed in our QA systems waiting to be released. The only issue they noticed is that any pasted text is completely stripped of markers. However, existing markers within the editor are preserved upon pasting (unless completely overwritten). This behavior was also present in our previous editor version.
They are still planning to address this in a future release, once they determine that a change is necessary.
