Hello, since our site was originally built in French, could you help me find the items that were in the theme library? They are currently on the French side, but ideally, we need them on the English side since our default language is now English, so I can work on a few elements. Yesterday, when I tried to adjust some things, my items got deleted. A backup was restored, so it's fine now, but I don't want that to happen again. As for the translation work issue that wasn't in the queue, it seems to have been resolved.
I've checked your screen recording and it shows that your theme library templates are all in the French language. Are you saying that they belong to the English language page? Or do you want to duplicate it in English?
Technically, these items should now belong to the English side (formerly French), since we may need to modify or adjust them. I would like them to be on the correct side of the default language. These items are part of the website, some of them are generated on the pages. Since the site is now in English, ideally, they should belong to the English side, and we could then create a French translation for them. I'm not sure if duplicating this content to English would yield the same result. Do you understand my explanation? 🙂
So, just to be sure, I need to switch to French, then go to WPML > Translation Management and duplicate to English, even though my site is originally in English only? Is that correct?
I followed the steps shown in the video to change the language of my templates. At first glance, it seemed to work. I then edited a button in my template's English version, and upon reloading the page, it caused my content to disappear. Could you investigate why this happened? I now have to restore a backup once again.
For your information, I no longer have it in any version, neither the French one, as I changed the template language to English beforehand, as shown in the previous video. I would really like to know if you can help me recover this section...
The contents for your other layouts in English are still there. Not sure why only "loop-press-firstsec1" layout contents are removed when switching languages.
I tried to switch it back to French and check the page revisions but it's empty. Sorry, I don't see a way to recover that layout.
Alright... I’ll manage. However, I have this section, and it happens to be generated by my Divi library. This item is located in the Divi library under the name Loop-press. When I try to add a translation to the button: Learn more, it doesn’t apply at all. I went to edit it directly in French in the Divi library, but on the front end, when you visit the site, the button is not translated to : "Voir l'article". I also tried translating it using string translation, but that didn’t work either. Please note that these items are also worked on with ACF. Can you help me?
On the French Homepage, I edited the page using the Divi builder hidden link and selected the correct loop layout(French) as shown in this screenshot. Now, it shows correctly on French language. Could you check?
Perfect, I see it. Now, I retrieved my lost section, as discussed earlier, from a backup. With Divi, we can import sections or templates into the library. However, when I try to import my lost section to recover it, nothing happens. Neither on the English side nor on the French side. The upload starts, followed by a success message for the import, but then nothing else. My template does not appear in the library. Can you help me?
