Here is a detailed explanation of the problems we are encountering with WPML translations, which differ slightly between products but consistently cause issues:
Product Gallery Behavior:
When we open a translated product for editing, the Product Gallery is empty. However, the images in the product description are still present.
After clicking Update, the images in the Product Gallery are automatically populated (synced) from the primary language. However, some images in the description disappear after this update.
Images Already Missing in Editor:
In some cases, when we open a translated product for editing, the images in the product description are already missing, even before making any changes or updates.
These inconsistencies vary between products but have become a significant challenge, as we plan to translate our site into multiple European languages. Re-adding missing images manually for each translated product would take an enormous amount of time and effort. We believe the issue might require some form of synchronization adjustment to ensure that both the Product Gallery and description images remain consistent across translations.
Variation Switch Problem:
On product pages, the images for variations (e.g., color options) are not displaying correctly when users select different options.
Previously, selecting a variation would update the product image to match the selected option. Now, this functionality is inconsistent—sometimes it works for a few variations, but in most cases, it does not work at all.
This issue affects both translated pages and the primary language version of the site.
These problems are critical because they prevent us from proceeding with our plan to expand into multiple markets. We would greatly appreciate it if you could prioritize resolving these issues as soon as possible.
