This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to find and translate certain strings on their website using WPML. The issue specifically occurs with the "Button" element in The7 theme and WPBakery page builder, whereas the "Button (old)" element does not have this problem.
Solution:
We recommend updating The7 theme to its latest version as a first step. After updating, make a minor change to the original page and update the translation to see if the buttons can now be translated. Alternatively, try using the built-in WPBakery button elements instead of The7 button element to see if this resolves the issue. If the problem persists and using the "Button (old)" element is not an acceptable solution, we suggest opening a new support ticket and providing access details to your site for further assistance.

Please note that solutions might become outdated or may not directly apply to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue continues, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate strings on my site hidden link using WPML. I have already searched for them on the Translate texts in admin screens but I could not find them.

Symptoms:
Strings are missing for translation.

Questions:
Why are some strings missing for translation?
How can I find and translate these missing strings?

Hi,

I appreciate your patience.

I could not replicate this issue on a test site with the The7 theme and WPBakery + The7 Elements responsible for the button element.

The7 theme on your site has not been updated to its latest version. Please see the attached screenshot.

Please update it to the latest version. Then please make a small change to the original page and update the translation. Check if you can now translate the buttons.

You can also try using the built-in WPBakery button elements instead of The7 button element and see if that works.

Please note that my weekend is Friday-Saturday, and I'll be able to continue to check this issue and help you on Sunday.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi Again,
Unfortunately the problem persists.

I've discovered that the issue is with the "Button" element while when adding "Button (old)" element the strings register to be translated please see image attached.

Could you please explain the reason for this and suggest a solution?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,

Hi,

At this point, I have no explanation for this. I can translate the new and old button elements on my test site. Please see the attached screenshots. You can see the page here.

You can also check my test site by accessing it using this link.

My current solution is using the Button (old) element.
Is it an acceptable solution for you?
