This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Client is using the Avada theme and has added a multicurrency switcher to the header section using a shortcode. The switcher displays correctly on all pages except for the Cart and Checkout pages.

Solution:
We discovered that the issue occurs because the MultiCurrency option "Show only products with custom prices in secondary currencies" is activated. By deactivating this option, the currency switcher should appear on the Cart and Checkout pages. This behavior is by design, as it was integrated into the system seven years ago. We have also escalated the issue to our developers for final confirmation.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and ensuring that you have the latest versions of themes and plugins installed. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket with us for further assistance.

Hello,

I add multicurrency switcher to the header section of Avada theme via Woo Shortcodes.

Shortcode:

[currency_switcher format="%code% (%symbol%)"]

The switch display correctly on all pages except for Cart and Checkout page. Cart and Checkout pages does not display the switcher at all.

I enabled wp and script debug but no error messages there.

Can you please help to pinpoint why is it not showing on pages where I need it the most?

The site is in maintenance mode, hence no access unless you are logged in. Can you tell me how can I give you login details securely?

Hi,

this could be related to https://wordpress.org/support/topic/currency-switcher-not-showing-in-cart-and-checkout-page/.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Hi,

thanks for your patience. It took me some time to reproduce this, but this is caused as the MultiCurrency option "Show only products with custom prices in secondary currencies" is activated.

The switcher is viewable on the cart and checkout if I turn it off. This is expected in the logic, as I found an internal ticket that this was integrated seven years ago. Anyway, I've forwarded this case to our developers for final confirmation.

Best Regards
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Thanks for thorough investigation. I can confirm with option "Show only products with custom prices in secondary currencies" disabled it works correctly. I can live with the option disabled - does not seem to effect prices. I had it selected as I do not use exchange rates to calculate prices.

Still do not see why the switcher should not be visible when the option is enabled but this is up to you to decide if it's a bug or feature.

Hi,

thanks for the feedback! Our team confirmed that it's hidden only when "Show only products with custom prices in secondary currencies" is selected. There is code active to deactivate it otherwise.

As this was implemented several years ago, we created a development ticket to re-evaluate that.

Best Regards
Marcel
