When you click on the identical-looking images in the media library, do they link to the same file URL or are they separate uploads with different URLs? 2. Are these files possibly different-sized versions (like thumbnail, medium, large) generated automatically by WordPress or your theme? You can usually tell by checking the image dimensions or file names. 3. Do you know if any plugins (like Elementor or gallery/image optimization plugins) or your theme might be automatically duplicating media files or creating alternate versions? Looking forward to your feedback.
