Since the "self-referencing" error was showing with the German pages, I checked one of the German pages properly and noticed that the Page URL and language code were defined correctly in the Hreflang tag. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the Hreflang tags.

Please review the guidelines provided by the Semrush authority to prevent such issues.

If you examine the screenshot alongside the guidelines, you'll see that everything has been set up correctly.
So, I think the analysis is showing a False-positive report in this case. As everything is set correctly, rest assured that the search engine will index the page correctly.
Additionally, If you're using the Yoast or RankMath plugin on your site, make sure to activate the WPML SEO plugin as well.
