Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where neither the English nor the French version of their site was working, displaying an 'Error establishing a database connection'.
Solution:
We asked the client to update their credentials in the support ticket as the previous credentials were removed from an older ticket. This step was necessary to allow us to investigate the issue further. If you're experiencing a similar problem, we recommend checking your database connection settings and ensuring that your credentials are up to date. Additionally, it might be helpful to verify that your server is properly configured to handle database connections.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Yes I see the plugin.
But now nothing is working, Nor to switch to the Englisg version nor navigate in the French version :
