Well, the frontend is in french, there is no way that client will retranslate everything again, this is quite a big website, and initial translation took the long time.
I hope that you can find the fix for this issue that doesn't include retranslating everything, because this issue appears on more than one page.
Looks like we'll need to troubleshoot this further. Could you please remove the staging site and then, clone the site from the production hidden link again? I need to check and see if the fix we applied to the staging site broke the translations.
It appears that this isn't the most recent version of the production site. I've compared hidden link with hidden link , and the staging site is completely untranslated.
Could you please provide me with the latest clone of the production site? This will allow me to investigate further and escalate the issue for you.
Sorry, I'm still not getting a response from our 2nd Tier Support. But I've pinged our ATE managers to look into this for us. I will get back to you once I've feedback.
We have reviewed both your staging and production sites and found that most pages are not initially translated.
For example, on the German page hidden link , the content is still in English. Even when attempting to switch languages, the result remains the same, with only the Dutch language being translated.
You may advise your client to continue translating the pages, as the issue of the "translated language reverting to English" is currently only affecting the homepage.
Our second-tier support team will continue to investigate the homepage issue while your client can proceed with translating other pages without any problems.
Our 2nd Tier Support checked and it looks like the homepage was not translated correctly from English to Norwegian. But we've decided to refund 1k credits to your account so that you can retranslate the homepage into 4 languages like what you previously had.
May I know where would you like me to refund the credits? To your production or staging site?
You can add it to our production site, how do you mean was not translated correctly, what steps weren't done properly, can you please give me a brief explanation on how to avoid that problem so I can forward it to the client?
Based on our records, the homepage was translated from Italian to Norwegian using the Advanced Translation Editor and it is saved in the translation memory.
So when you change the default language to English, you need to retranslate the contents from English to Italian, Norwegian and etc.
To prevent this from happening, please only translate the contents from English to the secondary language.
Also, I've credited 1k credits to the production site here hidden link
