This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to use the WPML String Translation plugin on a multi-language site with ACF, but the plugin won't activate because it is currently deactivated.
Solution:
We have identified that you are using the Multilingual Blog account type, which only includes access to the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin. The WPML String Translation plugin requires either a Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency account. To resolve this issue, you need to upgrade your account. Fortunately, when upgrading, you only pay the difference. For more details on upgrading and to manage your account, please visit your WPML account and consider purchasing the necessary upgrade at WPML purchase page.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. For further assistance, please contact us through the WPML support forum.

Tell us what you are trying to do? I am working obviously with a multi language site. I am using ACF, but I think I need WPML String Translation, but the program is not turning on, is currently deactivated. It won't activate.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

You are currently using the Multilingual Blog account type, which means you only have access to the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin. Please note that the WPML String Translation plugin is only available with the Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency account.

If you would like to access the WPML String Translation plugin, you can upgrade your account to a more comprehensive one. The good news is that when you upgrade, you only need to pay the difference. Please check your https://wpml.org/account/ account for more details.

Please, help me to understand, ACF has custom fields, in English, but in French they do not translate. The category got translated, but the custom fields NO, so I have to create two fields. Meaning, in the blog will have two custom posts in the back end, one in English and one in French. Is thar right?
